I am spiritually close to you, with my wishes for peace and holiness at the beginning of this New Year, which marks the 90th anniversary of the appearances of Our Lady in Fatima. The Fatima Shrine has proclaimed it as the year of Mercy. Why?

Fr Andrew Grace – Wagga Wagga Diocese in Australia:   Last June 2006, I had the privilege of participating in my first annual retreat with Fr Gobbi in Collevalenza, Italy, which was held at the renowned Shrine of the Merciful Love located in the mountains of Perugia, close to Assisi.

Ave Maria - Spouse of the Holy Spirit

The Feast of Pentecost is a Marian Feast day because of her spousal relationship.  The Father and Son have chosen her, entrusting her for all time to the Spirit of Holiness.  “Holy Virgin Mary among Women, there is none like you born into the world.

Fr Gobbi's message to Australia

"Prayer!! The devil hates it.  Through the media, TV, newspapers etc. he fills our minds with many things.  Then we talk about what we have seen, heard and read.  We talk and we talk and we wear ourselves out and we have no time to pray.  This state of affairs affects the faithful, it affects Priests, it affects Religious consecrated to God.

Mane Domine: stay with us Lord: nobiscum

For this reason, the Holy Father, Pope Paul II, has laid it down that the time between October 2004 and October 2005 should be lived as the Year of the Eucharist.  We of the Marian Movement of Priests are especially happy to welcome the Pope’s invitation and to unite with Mary in Cenacles of love, adoration and reparation for Jesus present in the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ

Christ is coming! The signs of expectation are all around us. There is a link between Advent and our waiting for Christ‟s coming again – our need .......

WORTHY IS THE LAMB

St John the Evangelist has a vision of what must take place in time to come, in order that all things on earth be restored to Christ the Lord. His vision is a vision of perpetual adoration. .......

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ

December is a wonderful month for those devoted to Mary because it links two of her greatest honours – her Immaculate Conception and her role as the Mother of God which is a central part of the Christmas celebration of the birth of the one who is both God’s son and her son.  Everyone in this Archdiocese comes under her patronage through the dedication of the Cathedral to the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
